A bilingual, call-first site for a Cyprus cleaning company — built so the phone rings.
This business gets hired over the phone, not through a contact form. So every route through the site ends at a tel: link, and the whole thing is built to load fast on a phone on mobile data and make the decision easy.
It runs in Greek and English from one codebase, with no framework and no build step.
Hosted here as a showcase copy — the client's own domain is withheld at the owner's request.
The problem
A cleaning company that wins every job over the phone needed somewhere credible to send prospects — in two languages — without adding any admin to their day.
How we worked
Every design decision served one goal: make the phone ring. Every path through the site ends at a call button, before/after sliders prove the work, and the whole site runs in Greek and English from one codebase so nothing ever drifts out of sync.
What was delivered
A fast, bilingual site with structured data for local search, honest placeholders where real reviews will go, and a codebase any future developer can open and understand. Nothing to maintain, nothing to break.
- No framework, on purpose: the site is one page with a handful of behaviours, so it ships as plain HTML/CSS/JS the client's next developer can open and understand — the handover is the architecture.
- Bilingual without a second site: one translation dictionary drives every string and attribute, the choice persists in localStorage, and even the page title and meta description switch — one codebase, zero content drift between languages.
- The before/after sliders handle touch the hard way because the easy way is broken: iOS Safari cancels pointer events mid-drag when it decides to scroll, so the sliders use native touch events and arbitrate the gesture themselves — horizontal drags claim it, vertical swipes are released back to page scroll.
- The sample testimonials are flagged in the source as placeholders to be replaced before go-live — honest scaffolding beats fake social proof shipping by accident.
